Come read it!
Hell is essentially another earth; just on a seperate plane of existence so that the earth isn't affected by hell's presence. Originally Hell was designed as a prison for the oldest god; "Lucifer." After it's creation Hell also functioned as a place for souls to go in order to be punished for the sins that they have committed while on the earth. The period of punishment differed depending upon the sin in question, however after Satan came into being he refused to release the souls that were sent to Hell for punishment and instead converted many of the oldest souls that were in hell originally into demons. This angered "God" which began a long war between the two, which still has yet to be decided. Now it is a dwelling of misery, and torture due to Satan's ruling. Any souls that are not demonic simply continue to be tortured until they have agreed to become part of Satan's army, or until they have been driven to pure insanity to which they are simply tortured more due to Satan's unquenchable thirst for causing other people misery.
The hierarchy within hell is quite simple; Satan rules everything, any demons who do not obey his orders simply get eliminated. There are a few exceptions to this rule; such a Biruko, and Blue, both of which "Couldn't give a rats ass about what Satan has to say, as he doesn't own shit."

Hell is a very real place, some parts of it resembling large underground caves filled with fire and lava; a hell of heat so to speak. There are different locations with hell due to hell being essentially just another plane of existence just like earth; meaning there are also frozen areas within hell, along with oceans as well.

The only difference is that in Hell the oceans are either frozen or filled with lava.

Above all though, Hell is a completely unforgiving, desolate, waste filled with terrifying creatures and horrible places. Not all demons are hideous in appearance, though most of their personalites are exceedingly horrid; though there have been demons who have good personalities rather than evil ones.
